Update Summary
After more testing the game is getting much closer to the desired experience! :D
This latest round of tweaks and fixes should further improve how the game flows and feel, making delves more compact, so that they might progress faster to the point and reach a meaningful climax and resolution within 1 or 2 sessions (on average).
Brief overview:
- Intro section and Speaking Rules got revised for clarity, also introducing the Referee Totem technique.
- Some minor inventory tweaks allow the PCs more flexibility while also making slots a scarcer and more important resource.
- Some important tweaks in how lethal the game is should make play feel more dangerous without actually making it more punishing.
- Protective Items are now more valuable, more durable and "just work".
- Supplies management got a tiny bit more forgiving.
- Some Moves have been tweaked and rewrote for clarity and balance.
- Scores such as Navigation and Progress are now more impactful, simple and more reliable.
Detailed Change Log
- Quick slots don't occupy the hands.
- Slow slots are reduced from 10 to 8.
- Encumbrance penalty applies only when you fill all slow slots.
- Supplies usage is rolled once per Ref Phase instead of at every single usage.

- Life score is renamed to Save vs Death or Save score for brevity.
- Save starts at 4 instead of 6.
- Protective Items add +1 Save for each slot they occupy.
- Injuries can't be healed, but can be treated.
- Untreated injuries count as threats.
- -
- Orientate should be clearer and more usable.
- Backtrack text should be clearer.
- Forage text should be clearer.
- Be Crafty updated to reflect how Save and Injuries work.
- Reveal a Section now tests Discovery + Navigation.
- Reveal a Thing now tests Discovery + Progress instead of just Discovery.
- Reveal an Outcome has been eliminated.

- The Ref Phase now has an explicit procedure in 4 steps.
